Monthly Income With Dividends In April 2026

Full version here. Below, you will only find my dividend income overview.

My investment approach is simple and consists of three pillars:

  • Active income.
  • Passive income.
  • Conversion.

Dividends fall into the last two categories. They are passive because they provide a cash flow without the need to go to work. Additionally, they are an essential pillar of conversion, as they can be reinvested to generate even more income in the future.

That is the theory. Now, let’s get down to practice.

This month, my cash-flow approach generated the following income through dividends:

Dividend income in April 2026

So overall:

  • the total monthly dividend income in April (after taxes) was: €806.22 / appr. $ 946;
  • compared to last year’s €859.61, the dividend growth was negative ( –6.2% YoY). This was due to
    • (i) Assa Abloy moved its payout from April to May (I already received €51 but will book it for May),
    • (ii) the $ lost quite some value, so I get less € dividends, and
    • (iii) last year, I benefited from a few loss-cutting stock sales, which meant I had to pay no tax on dividends. This effect lasted until May 2025, so I don’t expect any further distortions of that kind from June onwards.
  • ⌀ monthly dividend income (ttm): €704.94 / appr. $828;
  • ⌀ monthly dividend income (ttm) compared to the previous month: -0.5%. This development is a bit annoying as it looks like the monthly income isn’t really moving/even decreasing. However, I’ve been through such periods a few times now, and it is part of the journey. There is only one way forward: keep going.

Here is the big picture:
